Some paintwork needs more than polishing

Strong sun and ageing paint can leave a finish tired, cloudy or uneven, and sometimes machine polishing alone isn't enough. Where the paint allows, carefully controlled wet sanding followed by machine polishing can improve it. The result depends on the type and extent of the damage. If the clear coat has failed too far, repainting is the only real fix, and that's said upfront.
